The Wombats are back with a new single called My Circuitboard City. I was looking at the CD single and was amazed to find out there's a live track (Let's Dance To Joy division again...) recorded at the Royal Albert Hall. When did they get that big?? Things just pass me by sometimes while I'm trapped in my own normbubble. Well this is hugely catchy poppy indie rock. Supremely clean and polished these boys and being preened for the big time for the sounds of things. I can see the appeal though it's a bit too radio friendly for me.... On 2 x 7" and CD single!!

OVERVIEW: 14th Floor Records are proud to release The Wombats new single 'My Circuitboard City' on 2nd March. The single, which sees the band's sound develop and progress in a more post-punk, scuzzier direction, was produced by Tore Johanson (The Cardigans; Franz Ferdinand) at London Metropolis Studio. The song demonstrates a darker and more mature side to the band. As ever with The Wombats, the bleaker lyrical content is belied with hi-octane, effervescent music that has become so distinctive to their sound and imperative to their success in the past year.
