OooooHhhHHh Babyyy! A spanking new HTRK album that kicks off with the briliant grinding sleaze of 'Ha' which came out on 12". I just love the almost detached sound to Jonnine Clementine Standish's vocal. The've got fab sound going with the icy drum machine pulse. There's a wonderous dark and gloomy feel that occasionally reminds me of Joy Division's more downtempo moments, though it's probably just a general gothy post-punk influence. They got some wicked basslines happening on this bleak journey. 'Marry Me Tonight' comes in a lovely pussy pink glossy 6 panel gatefold digipak on Blast First Petite. Recommended.

Orginally from melbourne australia, they translanted to berlin in 2007 and, in 2008 moved to london.  “ha/panties” 12”/download was already february’s 09’s artrocker single of the month “more mood than band, they (htrk) are a feeling, a trance” “seemingly unstoppable” , “ferocious chainsaw guitars” xfm’s john kennedy is a fan and played the single several times. glasgow’s optimo club & london’s white heat were early adopters with regular club plays and several live shows. “icy minimalists from down under render stark expansive architectural slabs of noise and mesmerizing grooves.” jim sclavunos clash mag 09 bands to watch. htrk initially released their demos on fire records under the title “nostalgia” the band went on to cut their live teeth in europe in 2008 opening for liars.
