· Soap&Skin is Anja Plaschg, an 18 year old girl
from Austria. From a little village south of
nowhere, word of this young artist has spread via
MySpace at stunning speed – first there was the
Shitkatapult release, which was followed by
healthy airplay both in Austria and abroad,
euphoric press reviews and club and theatre gigs.
· Her first single ‘Spiracle’ is a perfect illustration
of the way in which her music can affect, touch
and even irritate all at the same time.
· Her songs – arranged for voice, piano, violin,
electronic sounds and acoustic noises – are
haunting and full of frailty and grandeur.
