Glasvegas - Flowers and Football Tops/ Stabbed

Flowers and Football Tops/ Stabbed by Glasvegas

4...according to our on Thu 19 Feb, 2009.

Glasvegas are back with two 7"s both of which have two live tracks. 'Flowers & Football Tops' is that Scottish stadium/terrace doo-wop raw dream pop anthem that everyone loved from the album. Such is the life affirming quality of the track you get 2 versions of it. One at Barrowlands in Glasgow and the other at a young offenders institute. I expected to hear the crowd all trying to knife each other and rob the bands gear while distracting them by offering to sell them "jellies". There's something quite inspiring about artists playing in these types of places. Like Johnny Cash playing at prisons. Hats off to them for keeping their roots and giving something back to their communuity. Phil has just pointed out that law abiding folk have to pay to see them. You should go twoccing cars in Glasgow and you might get to see the band for free... Also included are live versions of 'Stabbed' and 'Polmont On My Mind'. One is on green vinyl and numbered and the other isn't.

Excellent new single from platinum selling debut album. GOWOW019 is a very ltd, numbered & coloured 7" vinyl with live version of "Flowers…" & "Stabbed", both from Barrowlands. GOWOW020 has live versions of "Flowers…" & "Polmont on My Mind", both from Polmont. The 2 trk Cd has the album version of "Flowers…" plus "Cruel Moon" live from Seattle.
