NOSFERATU HEX. A title so good I can't help but write it in capitals. The sleeve's cool too but I can't write that in capitals.. Not unless I learn to do those amazing ASCII picture things. Actually I might do that, I could just do a picture with words to convey my complex emotions rather than constantly struggling to break free from the shackles of language. Food for thought. This CD by Beach Fuzz follows up on the limited cassette they did on Blackest Rainbow (which we still have in stock *wink*) and definitely doesn't kick out the jams.. In fact it embraces them quite heartily. Saxophonist Dave Jackson (of Solar Fire Trio) joins the band to blow the skin off your very face while everyone else clatters around in a whirlwind of tribal dustbin lid drums, squealing feedback and deep-voiced zombie incantations. It's a bit like a jazzy Heavy Winged+Satan. Much fun on Golden Lab and limited to 80 copies. The first GLR release for 2009 is Nosferatu Hex by Beach Fuzz w/Dave Jackson. It's the final Beach Fuzz recording made with Barry Dean on drums and also features the eyeball-melting saxophonic skree of Solar Fire Trio's Dave Jackson. It was recorded in Warrington on 29th Oct '08 and is a more melodic yet typically cacophonous jam than previous releases. We hope you dig. Out now on CD-R, limited to 80 copies.
