The Constantines - Our Age

Our Age by The Constantines

Hey, I just mentioned Feist in that last review and now I've got Constantines to do and they did a song with Feist. That's well bent! 'Our Age'/'Fuckin' Up' features a hilarious picture on the back where a girl's being torpedoed out of the sea by some blokes and the face she's pulling is pure 'this is the best day of my life' shit. We'll ignore the hand that looks like it's going up her arse. The music's a right old hoary rockfest, complete with throaty vox from some Jack Daniels-swilling, plaid shirt-wearing yee-haw. It's kind of like Kings of Leon's recent direction only done miles better and without some thrusting young buck telling you about his flaming penis. You also get the downlod code you've always wanted when you buy this.

Backed with the NEIL YOUNG classic, "Fuckin' Up" CONSTANTINES single "Our Age" (from the album Kensington Heights), is their third track released on 7" vinyl.
CONSTANTINES' first single, "Hard Feelings" came on a limited edition 7" with the b-side, "Easy Money". "Islands In The Stream" a duet with FEIST, followed in April 2008, backed with the track "Trans Canada" also from Kensington Heights.
CONSTANTINES' music has continually earned the band a loyal following from both writers and fans alike, drawing comparisons to The Clash, Fugazi and Nick Cave. The band has shared the stage with the likes of Foo Fighters, The Hold Steady, and Guided by Voices, to name a few.
