Also on 555 is a CD by Hulaboy called 'The genius of'. This is a joint release with Parapop Records and in case you didn't know Hulaboy is an amalgamation of Hula Hoop and Boyracer. ie Eric Stoess and Stewart Anderson rocking the party boat. The thing I like about this is the shamblingness of it all. It all sounds like it's about to collapse at any point but it's somehow held together by pop tunes a plenty. It straddles the balance of twee, indie rock and pub rock band all while it's crossing a tight rope trying to get to the other side. Which it weirdly manages to do quite successfully. This is the 2nd time I've heard this now and it's growing on me. I'm a light and frothy mood at the mo and this is fulfilling my needs.2nd full length from Stewart and Eric (Hula Hoop). US Americana meets UK twee.
