'We Are Men' is a 12" by Cap Pas Cap. They do a kinda punk-funk thing with dinky echo-laden new-wave guitar shapes and a vocal that occasionally decends into Einar Orn style yelp territory. It's pretty cool in a 2005/6 style way. I must confess I think the remixes on this record are irritating to the point of me wanting to get a bus out into Leeds city centre & punch the first kid with a geometric mullet I see really hard in the mush, get the bus back to Armley, set fire to everything, shoot everyone I work with then throw myself in the canal laden down with some lead I nicked off the neighbours roof. An over-reaction you say? 12" on Skinny Wolves.Cap Pas Cap are back i nbusiness on Skinny Wolves records with a new 12" and a new track "We Are Men". This really is significant of waht Cap Pas Cap do best, the interplay of the dance rhythms, synth sequences, urgent vocals and the shimmering choppy guitars cause the track to jump straight off the wax and into yr skull! the first of a new batch of material from Cap Pas Cap unveiled on a series of limited vinyl only pressings, recorded with Al O'Connell (who has worked with the Rapture and the Klaxons). Feats original version, and remixes by Jape, Decal, and thatboytim. Limited to 500 copies only. Imagine Pylon / early Sonic Youth as tweaked by DFA / LCD Soundsystem. and the Decal mix, pheweee - Detroit via Sheffied via Swords......!!!!
