Ant here covered in breadcrumbs after demolishing a huge baguette with jalapeno humous and mighty tasty it was too. Also on the rather tasty tip is an eponymous collaboration album from Strings Of Conciousness and Angel (Ilpo Väisänen of Pan Sonic and Dirk Dresselhaus of Schneider TM). I must admit that I wasn't over impressed by the recent Angel album on Editions Mego. I guess I was just disappointed but this teaming with Strings Of Conciousness works a treat. Together they build up layers of drones and oscillations that eventually become a thick morphing wall of sound. The layers of sound weld together magnificently with the sound of the strings giving it an organic anchor. There are some real peaks of intensity which are the highlight for me. The more subtle moments work well too but don't grab hold of me in the same way. Out on Important Records with artwork from Seldon Hunt. CD version only for now with the LP (on Conspiracy) to follow in a couple of weeks.

This is a collaboration between Angel (containing members of Mum and Pan Sonic) and Strings Of Consciousness. This dense and droney construction echoes platinum reflections with warm fluidity and delicate detail. The more attention you'll bestow on that record, the more unsuspected new paths you'll be invited to wander about. This is an intricacte and imaginative soundtrack with several layers of  sound, gathering both organic and sonic elements to assemble a post-industrial sound structure. The latter will give life to a noisy magma where unexpected clicks stumble over interferences, where digital accidents happen and where drones, acoustic resonance fill the space in time. A multitude of digital notes will slowly stretch to reach a dark-grey chaos, a pure and clean big bang echoing and calling lost sound memories.ANGEL:Ilpo Väisänen (Finland), worked with Ultra 3, Sinø and is half of world famous duo Pan Sonic
Dirk Dresselhaus (Germany) releases under the pseudonym SchneiderTM who are signed to City Slang and Mute America.Hildur Gudnadottir plays cello for Mum, Johannes Johannsson, Stillupsteypa, BJ Nilsen.
