Dylan Nyoukis obviously realised he'd have to go some to outdo that Blood Stereo LP with Ludo Mich so he's got into child/man nudity on the cover of Inside Wino Lodge on No Fun. There he is, holding hands with a kid (in a viking helmet), both naked as the day they were born.. I assume (hope) it's his daughter, in which case it's OK - that's the trouble with today's world really, with all the media's paedo hysteria it's got to the point where a man can't even put out an LP of noisy electronics decorated with his naked child without having to worry about 'what people will think'. It's that same fear that keeps Brian's vast array of Cathy Dennis photos (some from magazines, some self-made from stealthy tree climbs) hidden under the loose floorboard in his bathroom rather than up on the mantelpiece for all the world to see. Anyway, this album's pretty cool. If you like it when your train crashes, brakes squeeling, into a steelworks manned by bondage kit-wearing workers scraping broken violins and licking your dying body then you'll probably like this. Actually that makes it sound harsher than it actually is but I think I've captured the feel of sinister weirdness in quite a stunning and admirable way. Only the 300, which is the number of the week.

New solo LP of strange sounds, vocal improvisations,strings, tape manipulations and hiss drones from Dylan Nyoukis (Decaer Pinga,Blood Stereo) inside his wino lodge. Sounds like it was recorded in a 4 track in 1972 in an insane asylum, then puke over and thrown into the sea, then discovered recently and transfer directly to Vinyl via marine analog tape communication device.Good one to buy as well if you are wondering what a naked Scottish man and his daughter look and sound like. Limited to 300 copies.
