· Nina is the lead vocalist / lyricist of The Cardigans, who have gone
through a major musical metamorphosis between almost every
album they’ve made. Niclas Frisk has an equally broad palette,
having been a member of indie / glam cult band Atomic Swing,
profane gospel pop group Sweet Chariots, as well as producing
and writing for some of Sweden’s biggest acts.
· ‘Colonia’ has the potential to move your heart, challenge
your mind and stimulate your imagination.
· If the first record was a mash up of Americana and minimalist
eclecticism, ‘Colonia’ draws from a wider set of colours, drawing on
historical imagery.......from the opium den to the Belgian Congo,
from the Namibian desert by starlight to Victorian New York by
gaslight, and the Bowery of the '70s by neon.
· The ‘Colonia’ album release is preceded by the single
‘Stronger Than Jesus’.
