Right them there seems to be a kind of second wave of noisy American band making one hell of a racket but inserting some smart pop melodies so old people like me can't put my hands over my ears and say its just all noise with the kids these days. A group calling themselves Wavves fit right in with this movement and this album called Wavves I think. Its noisy messy and recalls most obviously Times New Viking and Psychedelic Horseshit and No Age but also harks back to the late 80's early 90's noisy people like Winged Tipped Sloat and Trumans Water. Strip away all the layers of guitar squall and fuzz you can even here slithers of the pure driven pop of The Ramones. So it all comes around again. Its kind of nice that the grand kids of the (early) Flaming Lips acid enhanced big pop shambles are carrying the torch forward.lo-fi beach punk anthems by San Diego's Nathan Williams. beautiful
