Not two minutes ago I was packing up a pair of parcels for Mr. T++ and now here I am reviewing his new 12" on the lovely Apple Pips. Life is full of such coincidences but the others in here don't really appreciate them, when I say something like "Hey guys, all of our Recorded Delivery orders today are for people called Richard" they just look at me like they wish I was dead. 'Audio1995#8' is a dark, relentless dub techno bruiser that hearkens back to those days where the style was just reaching its apex; satisfyingly augmented by a crispy, crunchy modern sound and a wonderfully subtle bassline. Like most of the best techo it's a heady mix of past and future. The track on the other side has a totally different feel despite using the same palette of sounds, offering up a lengthy two-step headnoddy grindathon that's pretty fucking ace in itself. It reminds me a little bit of the days when Two Lone Swordsmen were good actually, Tiny Reminders and all that. Feelin' dis big.For the fourth outing on Appleblim’s label, we are very excited to bring you 2
tracks from one of our favourite producers – T++. We are very proud to present this forward thinking music from a mainstay of
pioneering beats. We won’t wax lyrical, just drop the needle and lose yourself in the music….Audio1995#8 – Deep rolling decaying
techno, with submerged beats rising and surfacing from the depths.. Audio1995#8_2 – switching the tempo to 140bpm and twisting
the same sounds into ever more entrancing shapes T++ shows his love of drumfunk producers such as Paradox in a new exciting context…
