Holy Subversive by Black Serama

4...according to our on Thu 11 Dec, 2008.

Black Serema are a brother and sister duo from Sheffield and they have their debut release out on Dirty Demos. It goes under the wonderful title of 'Holy Subversive' and it's pretty fucking crazy sounding with it's spooky female vocals and disturbed guitar wails and strange electronics. Brian reckons it sounds like someone doing elephant impressions while trying to saw a guitar in half with a saxophone. i.e pretty damn cool. It sounds like it could have come out on Not Not Fun or Blackest Rainbow. So yeah it's definitely out there. Handmade packaging CDr ltd edition of 30 copies.

'Holy Subversive' is the debut release from Black Serama, a brother and sister duo hailing from Sheffield, UK. This is a psychedelic journey of acid/tolkienesque guitar and vocals. File under 'electronic free folk'. Limited to just 30 copies, so be sure to act fast!
