First in my teenie weenie pile is what I believe to be the 25th release on WeePOP! This one is by The Endless Bummer and it's called 'Donald Fagan Mixtape'. It's kinda lo-fi ish indie pop with some witty lyrics and cultural references: "The paintings of Mark Rothko are boring but beautiful". There's a summery Beach Boys vibe happening on Rio Grandes Sandbar, 2001 with some vocal harmonys. It's all real honest and simple and ultimately I'm kinda charmed although the first track "Baseball In China" did irritate the living shit out of me. If you've been collecting this series then you'll want this in your collection. The Endless Bummer produce brilliant freeform pop, surreal and dreamy songs combining elements of 50s doo-wop, lo-fi wheezy organs, percussive skiffle, and three person vocal harmonies with bubblegum lyrics thrown together with fragments of pop-cultural reference, first person narratives and tales of lost love.
