Liam Finn has a new single out on Transgressive. It's another of those polaroid on the sleeve jobs so each one is unique like a snowflake. But a limited snowflake as there's only 500 of these and there's an infinite amount of snowflakes (so they taught me in school). The sleeve I'm reviewing has a man waving to a canal or something or other. This is a cheeky singer songwriter thing which isn't half as bad as I thought it would be. It's a decent quirky pop tune with some fuzzy keyboard noises and gentle pop vocals. I actually like this quite a lot. There's something quite commercial about it yet it's completely bizarre in a 70's sort of adventurous ballad way. It's what I wanted Jack Penate to sound like instead of how Jack Penate actually sounds. Better To Be is 7" only...'Better To Be' will be released on 10th November to coincide with a new raft of UK shows.
As per the 'Second Chance' release, it'll again be a 7” which features an array of exclusive photos
taken by Liam uniquely stuck to each copy of the single.
The Bside is an exclusive, previously unreleased, new recording.
