Liam Finn - Better To Be

Better To Be by Liam Finn

4...according to our on Thu 27 Nov, 2008.

Liam Finn has a new single out on Transgressive. It's another of those polaroid on the sleeve jobs so each one is unique like a snowflake. But a limited snowflake as there's only 500 of these and there's an infinite amount of snowflakes (so they taught me in school). The sleeve I'm reviewing has a man waving to a canal or something or other. This is a cheeky singer songwriter thing which isn't half as bad as I thought it would be. It's a decent quirky pop tune with some fuzzy keyboard noises and gentle pop vocals. I actually like this quite a lot. There's something quite commercial about it yet it's completely bizarre in a 70's sort of adventurous ballad way. It's what I wanted Jack Penate to sound like instead of how Jack Penate actually sounds. Better To Be is 7" only...

'Better To Be' will be released on 10th November to coincide with a new raft of UK shows.
As per the 'Second Chance' release, it'll again be a 7” which features an array of exclusive photos
taken by Liam uniquely stuck to each copy of the single.
The Bside is an exclusive, previously unreleased, new recording.
500 only limited edition.

FORMAT : limited edition unique individual cover 7”
