Findo Gask - One Eight Zero

One Eight Zero by Findo Gask

3...according to our on Thu 04 Dec, 2008.

Findo Gask are a new one on me so I'm hoping this 'One Eight Zero' 7" might be the start of an adventure. Now it's started and the only adventure it's taking me on is up Mt. What the Fuck Can I Say About This. Erm.. It's nice enough indie pop stuff that sounds quite a lot like later Simian. I wouldn't have known that myself, I had to cheat and ask for help. It's quite good really, just not what I want when Phil's jumping around the office in a mail sack with no shoes or socks on. I'm not sure anything could really help me through this.

· Findo Gask released their debut 12” through OSCarr
last December. It was hailed by the Sunday Times as
‘One of the year’s strangest and most sublime
singles’.
· In the meantime the perfectionist Glasgow quartet
have been painstakingly crafting giddy pop epiphanies
and they return here with the wonderful pop sparkle of
‘One Eight Zero’ and it’s b-sides. ‘Jigsaw’ somehow
walks a perfectly judged line between frenzy and
elegance, while ‘Nubo’ carries echoes of Kraftwerk
and New Order.
· “Perfect celestial pop.” - Guardian
· The 7” is limited to 500 copies in a ‘reverse board
sleeve’.
