An Experiment on a Bird in the Air Pump. Yes they're heading for the top of the hit parade with that snappy moniker ain't they. Three ladies, together 4 months. Fuck me, there'll be siblings forming X Factor contending cabaret acts in the womb next. A 4 track EP of stompy, primal gutter rock which is rather cool in many ways and given the time they've had to rehearse, they've developed a nice line in clean, minimalist structures, endorsing rolling tub-thumping, vodoo-ish fuzz garage guitar & deep hollerin' vocals. I like the production, the song structures & the well rounded sound but Brettney Spears reckons they're overstepping the mark a little prematurely paying homage to Sonic Yoof's 100% on the flip. I disagree. It's a well worn pop tune & is surely allowed to be fingered up the bum by anyone after all these years. So, 4 short, rudimentary tracks with lotsa promise & young femme balls.
