Kyte - Two Sparks Two Stars

Two Sparks Two Stars by Kyte

TRACKLISTING: 1 Eyes Lose Their Fire (5:30), 2 Bridges in the Sky (4:39), 3 Solsbury Hill (5:55),
4 Lights Outside Here (10:04),

OVERVIEW: Kyte will release their new EP, 'Two Sparks Two Stars', on 1 December through KIDS Records. The EP comes after the release of Kyte's lauded debut self-titled mini-album in February this year, which saw the NME say "Kyte will steal your heart soon as look as you". The four new tracks on the EP see Kyte build on the atmospheric, beautiful post-rock that made their debut so exceptional. Opening with the epic bombast of 'Eyes Lose Their Fire'; to the vocal-led ambience of 'Bridges'; a distinctly Kyte and a distinctly beautiful take of Peter Gabriel's 'Solsbury Hill', and concluding with the post-rock electronic majesty of 'Lights Outside Here'. Kyte have crafted an EP that demonstrates a maturity beyond their 21 years and the potential to be acclaimed as the British Sigur Ros. Kyte have gained widespread plaudits in the indie and dance press alike, and in the US their track 'Boundaries' was used on a nationally aired advert for The Sopranos on HBO. The electronic tinge to their music (recalling Four Tet or Boards of Canada) has led to supports with The Whip, Maps and Iceland's Ólafur Arnalds. This year the band also completed a UK tour with acclaimed Leeds post-rockers iLiKETRAiNS, which included a sold-out date at London's Bush Hall. Kyte have also been touring internationally playing a highly successful tour of Japan, where their debut album has sold over 30,000 copies and a mini-tour of Europe performing in Poland, Germany and Switzerland.
