Rather perfect slab of wax on Apple Pips from San Franciscan dubtechnostep type Jus Wan. As long as it's not Gok Wan. That guy gets up my nose like gasseous anal leakage. 'Action Potential' is a deep fluid roller with hints of classic Berlin techno & a gorgeous penetrating sub bass. The pace is just spot on making me feel like I'm floating down a liquid autobahn in the sunshine. 'Affletic' has a playful 2 step beat topped with a bouncy dubby bassline and tons of wondrous effects ricocheting excitedly around your head. I really liked the last 2 Apple Pips but this one err.... pips it for me - fresh, tech-y, up front & progressive with a brilliant scope of production. Nice one.A relative newcomer from San Francisco who instantly stands out with his blend of 2 step rhythms, techno soul and deep subs. ‘Action Potential’ is deep deep deep with a relentless rolling riddim, Berlin techno style delayed stabs and a solid foundation of bass. ‘Affletic’ switches the tempo to 140bpm and twists the same sounds into ever more entrancing shapes
