A Grand Tour of Tunisia & The London Zero CD! by Sunburned Hand of The Man

Now for an ultra deluxe looking Sunburned Hand Of The Man heavyweight gatefold double long player on weapons grade heavy wax with spiffing collage artwork and bonus 'London Zero' CD. So there is like two and a half hours of material. All hand numbered of 878 copies on 3 Lobed. Not sold yet??? Okay this was recorded in late 2007 (a period when Ron from the band occasionally called in here with lots of CDr goodness. Hey Ron!) They were collaborating with Michael Flower and John "Herb Diamante" Godbert at the time and this album is the fruit of those sessions. It's basically a freeform extravaganza that covers all manner of terrain. A pretty epic piece of work that despite its relentless experementalism is fully cohesive. Along with the more free jam sounding stuff there are actually some catchy tunes on here. The 'A Grand Tour Of Tunisia' record covers a lot of ground and different feelings/moods. Recommended.

During a late 2007 trip to the United Kingdom the Sunburned lineup of Paul Labrecque, John Moloney, Sarah O'Shea, Robert Thomas and Ron Schneiderman trekked into the studio along with John "Herb Diamante" Godbert and Michael Flower. A Grand Tour Of Tunisia is a massive double LP providing a glimpse into those sessions. Tunisia touches on all of the best facets of the Sunburned oeuvre - dope rhythmic workouts, freeform bombast and experimental exorcisms with a taste of character-driven roleplay thrown in for good measure. Yeah - this record is *that* serious and one of the most significant entries in the band's entire discography. A Grand Tour Of Tunisia is one *grand* package containing a massive double LP housed in a heavyweight, "old style" gatefold LP sleeve bearing artwork by Herb Diamonte.
