Lasse Marhaug is one of Norway’s most active & inspired performers. With more than 200 recordings to his credit, he has collaborated with artists as diverse as Oren Ambarchi, Enslaved, Kevin Drumm, Merzbow & Sunn0))). A fiercely creative & prolific force in the world of modern music, Marhaug has created a dynamic body of work both as a solo artist & composer as well as with his group Jazkamer.
"The Orange Dome Chronicles" were inspired by 1960's and 70's occult cinema; from the technicolor-horror of Hammer Studios, Amicus and Mario Bava to the avant-garde of Donald Cammell's "Performance" and Kenneth Anger's "Lucifer Rising". "The Orange Dome Chroncles" were tailored especially to the exotic 2x7” format, cut by Rashad Becker for play at 45 rpm & packaged lovingly in a deluxe heavyweight gatefold sleeve with Håvard Hjelseth’s design printed in metallic inks with a fluorescent orange inlay. Pressed on three colors of vinyl in limited editions totaling a complete pressing of only 666 copies worldwide.
