With influences including Dick Dale, The Ventures & The Chocolate Watchband, they combine the gut-wrenchingly raw sound of a garage band in heat with a smooth heroin surf atmosphere. With the Dublin music scene better than it’s been for years, we now have yet another great new group making regular visits to the UK from the Emerald Isle and beginning to make a name for themselves. Formed a little over a year and a half ago, these young lads rehearsed for a bit, took a short break to finalise their line-up – and then hit the Irish music scene with a BANG! The band is composed of a pounding rhythm section, a sharp yet moody organ and a front man/guitarist who shoots out daunting guitar riffs like early morning target practice. Very loud, very fast and very cool. They started out as an instrumental surf band but upon finding the blues-wailing Al Moore to fulfill vocal duties, they were ready to think about recording. We whisked them off to the fantastic Circo Perotti studios in Gijon (Spain’s answer to London’s famous Toe Rag studios) where these tracks were recorded, under the supervision of Jorge Explosion and Mike Mariconda. An early mix of these tracks saw them invited onto Mark Lamarr’s show on BBC Radio Two and got them a headlining slot at the Working Class Heroes festival in their native Ireland. Now they are headlining the legendary 100 Club for their album launch. With influences including the likes of Dick Dale, The Ventures and The Chocolate Watchband, they combine the gut-wrenchingly raw sound of a garage band in heat with a smooth heroin surf atmosphere.

At last a great band from Ireland. Danagerous and moody the Revellions take a little of everything from the last 4 decades of music and make it something new. So long Bono! Lonfg live the Revellions!
