This Kuma 'Hello, My Name is Kuma' 3" 5 track CD on WeePOP! has me actually cracking a smile. The opening track is about an Alaskan bear called Kuma. My ears welcome any songs about bears. Any animal really but not the crap ones or arachnids. This is simple honest acoustic indie pop that maintains the high standard of quality we're used to from the label. The EP continues with 'I Like Salmon' and then 'My little sister, Haruko' which is ultra sweet and super cute with some pretty xylophone and a truly uplifting happy vibe. It makes me want to bounce around with my two little nippers and have a big bear party. Imagine if bears could really talk like. Not like Teddy Ruxpin or anything though. I wish I was Dr Doolittle."Hello, my name is kuma" is the story of an Alaskan bear who moved to Oregon and found a new home with Miyoko and Ricky (Galactic heroes, The get arounds). The ep comprises of five upbeat super-catchy songs and is limited to 160 copies. Check Kuma out on mynameiskuma.com.
