White Shoes Black Heart are Marxist pirate cowboy revolutionaries on a supersonic boat trip into the sun astride a great legion of baby elephants fathered by ten foot tall satanic bunny rabbits on crack linked trunk to tail on a mission from god to forge an independent and free sovereign cow state upon the Isle of Man. “Your music made my head melt” – Cass Mc’combs. A place beyond the sign that reads: “You have gone too far” is its first record, an intense, unhinged, and fantastical psychedelic mini rock opera across seven stanzas. Imagine Slint being beaten to death by Comets on Fire whilst Sonic Youth wax poetic on the sidelines, Afghan Whigs drink with the bums, and Butthole Surfers distribute free LSD among the assembled crowd of onlookers. Recorded by Joe Oxley (The VC’s), at John Kettle’s (Tansads) Jaraf House Studio in Wigan. Released on CD and Heavyweight white vinyl with unique high quality handmade packaging, compiled from 100% recycled papers printed with vegetable based inks. White Shoes Black Heart is a one man art rock explosion. A passionate, frustrated, and romantically deluded soul laid bare. Scott Coleman lives in East London, his compositions are complemented by Manchester based drummer Mr Adam Owens. Scott’s chaotically intense, feedback drenched, violently noisy and unhinged live show is more commonly described as performance art rather than band. Yet an artist hell bent on being “The most dangerous band in England”© whilst simultaneously possessing a big gay pop heart. - “The duo turn on the old discordance axis of bands like Sonic Youth and Unwound, with a flavour (particularly live) of Comets on Fire's more unruly, unkempt lysergic brew; Spiderland's darker colours and eerily elongated shapes also figure heavily. A little more surprising, but not at all unwelcome, is the clear influence of the Seattle scene's old guard; 'Because...'s kinetic vim recalls Saturation-era Urge Overkill, the spasms of Greg Dulli's wracked confessionals echo through songs like 'Fairfield, Iowa' and 'Whitewash', and the Screaming Trees and Mudhoney can be glimpsed as they spiral into oblivion in the background.” John Mcmahon – Miles of Smiles Promotions (Richard Youngs, Lichens, Stars of the lid, Tall Firs) Scott’s previous flight was the band “Riding Shotgun, By Starlight. With The Ominous Sigh…..!” which played shows with Part Chimp, Distophia, Nancy Elizabeth, Moco, and toured the UK with Ez-T(Monitor). Adam Owens lives in Manchester and plays in the live improvised drum and bass band The Broken Door, he has also played with Corinthians, Kailash, Stranger son of WB, Dennis Jones, and is currently the touring drummer for Chief (Household name). Advertising for the album will run in Rocksound, Plan B, Rock a Rolla, Artrocker, Uncut and Stool Pigeon alongside press reviews. Scott and Adam are currently recording their second album due next year. White Shoes Black Heart play live and tour as a duo utilizing a unique and devastating three amplifier guitar sound. “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!”
