This record left our Phil feeling happy.

We've had loads of orders for this Sunset Cinema Club and I had no idea why. I checked their myspace and noticed a link to us so that explains that one. Very nice of the band to do that and anyone else umming and arring whether or not to do it then please do it as it really helps us! Anyway I've just banged this on and I have to say it's 13 tracks of decent competent indie rock. I've noticed a speight of Japanese labels releasing CD's by unheard of UK indie rock/pop bands as the Japanese tend to have a good ear for pop music. That coupled with the fact that UK labels aren't really taking as many risks these days as it's rock hard selling CD's means we're gonna be getting some more of these tasty imports. The production on this is smart. It's very meaty sounding indie rock with American sounding discordant guitars (reminding me a bit of Fugazi or Sonic Youth) but with complete pop vocals.... total pop tunes they are 'n all. I've heard two thirds of this as far as commercial indie albums go I think it's a strong debut. Fans of Mystery Jets and Johnny Foreigner take note! Homina Homina Homina is CD only!
