Akira Kosemura
Tiny Musical

This record left our Brett feeling happy.
I really wanted Black Moth Super Rainbow to be amazing when I first heard of them because the name was so good and the artwork equalled it, unfortunately for me they were like actual cack. Thankfully, they've improved since then as proved on this Japanese issue of Drippers. The same elements are there, ridiculous cheesesynth filter sweeps, an odd playfulness and a worship of everything that was bad about the 70s (Yes, Supertramp, etc. etc.) but here they're fashioned into something far more palatable than anything I've heard them do in the past, simply through the power of being attached to good tunes. Tunes shall overcome all! You get plenty more on this version of the disc too, for a total of twenty! Pop that cork, we're having a party! Bits of Boards of Canada, Holy Fuck and even the odd tiny touch of My Bloody Valentine are in the mix here and fans of the more recent and proggy Zombie will most likely find something to enjoy in these technicolour joyrides.
