Quantec hits up the third release of the Echochord Colour series with 'Ray Of Hope EP', yet another master stoke from producer Sven Schienhammer;
sublime, minimal dub-tech, spacious and heavy, and the sub-bass will totally kill you. Following on from a series of long sold out 12"s on the
Echochord and Meanwhile labels, the Quantec sound has established Schienhammer as one of the key players on the techno scene.
If that isn't enough Dave Huismans, aka 2562 (Tectonic), gives it the 'A Made Up Sound' treatment with a killer remix, taking the track into a dubby,
2-step form. Huismans has become increasingly in demand for remix work, the reasons for this being no more evident than here - this one totally ups
the game in every way, and is a 'must-have' for fans of the 2562 and 'A Made Up Sound' releases.
B-side 'Crank Eye' drops a protracted 4/4 drift, immersed in swirling analog synth-stabs that will totally break you brain at 3am. This is a late night deep
groove for those of you that have played out every last M-Series 12" and still want more.
