experimenting with beats, layers, keyboards, vocals, and Daft Punkesque
get-yo-funk-on basslines. Bringing ‘Apollo–Gize’ down on
earth for an hypnotic nightdrive. Like Supertramp on a space
mission with Jence and Isi.
· France loves Chic. Fred Falke is tres chic so he made a version of
‘Apollo-Gize’ using all Jence's soft hangdog tones. Setting the
ebullient electronic funk brilliance of the production against a
melancholy, wistful vocal. A slappy bass indeed.
· DerDieDas is Isi from Digitalism - and Raik from Hey Today
Hamburg at his best re-pulsing ‘The Pulse’ with more breaking
electronics and P-funking disco bass.
· Moritz Friedrich aka Siriusmo knows how to work a groove, his
remix of ‘Echoes’ containing a complex mesh of arpeggiated
discoid funk his very particular kind of machine funk, like a 70's
Modeselektor shorn of any beat repeat edits or DSP shenanigans.
