Death Of The Neighbourhood - Coke Holes

Coke Holes by Death Of The Neighbourhood

Daniella Westbrook's got the singular of 'Coke Holes' hasn't she. This Death of the Neighbourhood (Stephen Jones from Babybird apparently) 7" sounds like A Tribe Called Quest became ten years old and started bustin' LeAnn Rimes about where da funk they coke is at. It's all good fun but I can't help wishing they'd used a sample of Gabriel Byrne going "Der's noe cowke!" to finish the job. Incidentally, "Oiy can't feyle moy legs" is my favourite thing to say in an Irish accent.

· A highly representative selection of tracks from the
‘Death Of The Neighbourhood’ album, a stunning
mix of f**ked-up vocal distortion, tear-to-the-eye
ballads and evocative, string-laden instrumentals.
· ‘Cokeholes’ is written by Stephen Jones (aka
Babybird aka one of the most original and prolific
songwriters this country has ever produced), an
established artist with a large and devoted fanbase.
· He's sold two million records, had number one
albums in the NME charts, and nine Top 40
singles.
· Limited Edition of 300 7" vinyl records in
bespoke gloss black disco bag.
