What we say
This record left our Phil feeling unmoved.
Well I thought I'd review the new Charlatans single. To be honest the only songs I can remember by them are 'The Only One I Know' And 'Indian Rope'. I've heard some of the others but none of 'em have stuck in my mind. The new single 'oh Vanity' is gonna suffer a similar fate as it sounds reasonably unmemorable. The swirly organs are all correct and present and it sounds like a decent enough pop single. Unfortunately I don't like it enough to buy a ringtone and this is what it's about these days. Ringtones ringtones ringtones..... Ant has just told me Tim Burgess is working with Joaquin Phoenix (or however you spell it) in his new pop band or other. The trivia that gets banded around the office here daily is incredible. We should start a newspaper... The Daily Norman or something equally as rubbishly named. There is a live version of The Only One I Know on there (again) just to remind folks that they did have it once upon a time.
