When the PSB hooked up with Dusty Springfield on What Have I Done To Deserve This and Electronic for Getting Away With It & Disappointed, they were at their best. Recorded in Berlin no less, the PSB w/Sam Taylor-Wood do the a remake of the 1971 I'm In Love With A German Film Star turning out another great tune. Their enduring capacity to make music that matters some 25 years hence can speak no louder accolades. Kudos for the Mark Reeder and Gui Boratto mixes, along with 2 symphonic mixes. Released on the Kompakt label should get this the attention it deserves. There's a timeless quality where words fail but I can't keep the track from spinning endlessly in my brain. I need to wake up, turn the stereo off, or just turn it up and groove. This is the hanging bait for next year's new album. Keep on keeping on the dudes of duo.

*  Highly acclaimed artist and film-maker Sam Taylor Wood first worked with Pet Shop Boys in 1997 when she created the visuals and staging for their live show Somewhere at the Savoy Theatre in London.
