Moving swiftly on to Sub-Poppers No Age with a 7" of 'Teen Creeps' which is immodestly familiar to me from Nouns LP. There's a pop tune breaking out of the dense fuzzy wall of guitar. It couldn't be fuzzier if Fuzz Mc Fuzzy and the fuzzies recorded it through a fuzz box on the planet fuzz. Phil is reminded of Built To Spill and Brett declared he's not a big fan of them... comedian Brian pipes up that Brett 'Thinks they have NO EDGE'. That man should be on stage... So we can all wang rotten fruit and vegetables at him.. I'd line him up with a good solid savoy cabbage straight in the scone...I dig the breakdown right at the end of the tune. The flipside is 'Intimate Descriptions' is a more gentle tune, stripped back with some cool controlled guitar feedback and good old plinky plonky on the drums. Then just as you think the track is about to take off and kick in, it ends. Such a tease.New No Age 7" on Sub Pop released in time for the upcoming Shred Yer Face Tour with Los Campesinos and Times New Viking.
