It's double 7" time! Just in a single sleeve though, not a fancy gatefold job, you do get two different coloured vinyl's though. It's 'Little Garcon' by Born Ruffians and I still can't figure out what on Earth this lot are doing on Warp. I mean I'm not against labels branching out beyond their little ghettos but at least do it with something interesting.. This lot aren't bad but you'd be hard pressed to find anything unique about them whatsoever. What you get on the lead track is light-hearted acoustic guitar-strummy singalong fun that's not offensive in any way, sadly. The other three tracks on this value-pak EP follow a similar sort of pattern just without the acoustic part of the equation. The harmonies can be quite nice I suppose. Really, there's not much to this at all but if you're a fan.. (Kill yourself... NOW - Ant ;))Little Garçon * Ready For Bed * Coldness Hot *
Wedding Rings And Midnight Strollers
The title track is a lilting, sweet blend of harmonies and acoustic fretwork and is one of the lighter moments from the band’s debut album.
The ‘Little Garçon’ EP consists of two coloured 7”s (one red, one yellow) in gatefold packaging (limited to 400 copies), with an individually numbered sleeve featuring artwork by Thomas Allen, who also did the artwork for the album and all the singles so far.
As well as the title track, this release includes three brand new tracks that have not been available anywhere else until now.
