Ladyhawke - Dusk Till Dawn

Dusk Till Dawn by Ladyhawke

Ladyhawke releases her second single “Dusk Till Dawn” on Monday 15th September. The track is taken from the eponymous debut album which is released 22nd September and will be available on cd and 7”, with remixes from Linus Loves, The Shoes, Canyons and Simon & Shaker. There will also be an exclusive b side, “Danny And Jenny”.

“Dusk Till Dawn” follows the success of previous singles “Back Of The Van” (exclusive download only) and “Paris Is Burning” both released earlier this year and was produced by her chief collaborator and world-renowned producer Pascal Gabriel (S-Express, Bomb The Bass, Kylie, New Order) at Studio Eleven in London.

Ladyhawke aka New Zealand girl Pip Brown has had a busy year recording and touring both here and across the globe. She’s played headline shows in Paris, Barcelona, Ibiza, Moscow, Australia and her native New Zealand. She also performed three times in one day at Glastonbury. She paused briefly at the beginning of July to play her first headline show in London to a sold out crowd.

Pip Brown was raised in the 80’s with a musical family and grew up listening to the likes of Stevie Nicks, Deep Purple and Joan Jett. Beginning as the drummer in a school band, Pip plays four different instruments on her debut album. She moved to Sydney a few years back and then moved to London in 2007 where she wrote and recorded the forthcoming album. Pip also has a passion for old school arcade games, which explains why fans can now play the Ladyhawke arcade game for free at www.ladyhawkemusic.com/game.

“Cool with a capital K” Observer Woman
“Brown has the songs, the stroppy singing and the sense of being a potential star. Move over Ting Tings (like er now): the real deal is in town” Sunday Times Culture
“The Cyndi Lauper for the American apparel age...twinkly, heart-racing ‘80’s pop that leaves it’s irony at the door” NME
