Shackleton
Shackleton Remixes

This record left our Brian feeling happy.
With dubstep taking over the office like never before (that is, the pioneering gear that doesn't merely rely on wack wack wobble basslines for it's muscle!!) I'm piveliged to be the one to comment on the Shackleton remixes on ~Scape. Peverelist is the phantom re-jigger of 'You Bring Me Down' pushing some spacious & fast paced minimal techno pads to the fore embellished with some seriously meditative flute snatches that just send you elsewhere. It's a very spiritual & tribal rhythmic onslaught, with bags of atmosphere - eerie & compulsive music for yr head & the dancefloor. You could quite honestly climb inside your head and dance on your neurons to this. The cool Pole mix on the flip is very dubby with some odd musique concrete hum/grind subtly occuring which gives way to some incredibly odd fractured effects zinging in the background bringing to mind Jack Dangers' intergalactic space samples. If yr into the new wave of Basic Channel inspired "post-dubstep" & low end techno exploration you should bag this.....
