Dutch geezer Martyn has teamed up with Leeds' old skool drum and bass don Marcus Intallex for a pretty wicked EP that has them dropping the D&B beats in favour of the more dubstep style that Martyn has been doing recently. The widescreen Berlin inspired chords are really doing it for us here. there are some sweet little acid squelches and the beats are perfectly crisp. Martyn takes control of both the cuts on the flipside with a particularly slow dubbed out cut called 'J.W On a Good Night'. It's a real heady tune. Proper deep late night gear with a slight jazzy edge. The shuffling beats on storm watch are dead hypnotic and carry the piece along while some cool electronic sounds creep into the mix. A great EP! After Seven is out on Intallex's Revolve:r label.

A dream pairing of these two heavyweights finally get together lock horns in the studio, and the results certainly won’t disappoint. Dubstep?, Techno? House?, who cares when its this good!
