It's that time of day just before lunch where my stomach is rumbling but I daren't go and stuff my face yet as I know I'll be hungry later... Patience is a virtue and so I bang on the evil sounding Burial Hex/ Sylvester Anfang 7" on Aurora Borealis. Man this is gonna have me turning into a cannibal and munching on fellow staff members. NOTE: I said staff members - NOT staff's members. Burial Hex are at their most vicious here with a distorted vocal somewhere between Prurient and Wolf Eyes. I actually like this a lot. I like to visit some proper evil shit now and then and this is really doing the job. What I've heard by these guys so far is great. That album on this label was some seriously dark gear. This is a bit more brutal, less subtle with a wicked electronic throb. Before I go and sacrifice a goat I'll spin the Sylvester Angfang side. Oooh an imaginary soundtrack to some wired ceremony or ritual with tribal drums, big crashes and guitars with a slight psyche twist. A bad acid trip of a 7" that you need in your life. Ltd and numbered of 500. Plays at 33rpm.* Aurora Borealis proudly present this split seven inch between Burial Hex and Silvester Anfang.
