The Kabeedies - Ten Animals I Slam In A Net EP

Ten Animals I Slam In A Net EP by The Kabeedies

4...according to our on Thu 28 Aug, 2008.

On The other hand The Kabeedies on NR One have a much fresher approach to their indie pop and this is already making my brain itch. For starters it's called Ten Animals I Slam In A Net' which is fucking genius. As is the lyric 'My parents names are both palindromes, m-u-m and d-a-d'. Very fresh and energetic sounding... lots of counting in it as well. 1..2..3...1..2...3.. Foals ish widdly guitars with a giant skip of attitude and some shouty boy/girl vocals which are doing the right thing. Weirdly catchy tune but no chorus that I can hear.... Just a bunch of segments stuck together which work well. Like an insect in fact..... all the bits are different but they're all vital for it to work. We all need mandibles......There appears to be some decent indie coming out at the mo....

Second single from Norwich's riotous teenagers THE KABEEDIES, in limited red 7" vinyl.
Since forming last year, the Kabeedies have played a live Maida Vale session for Huw Stephens on Radio 1, radio sessions for Marc Riley's 6Music
show and Janice Long's on Radio 2 and added festivals Glastonbury and Latitude to their gig list. The group's debut single was released on
Cherryade, and now for NrOne the 'Ten Animals I Slam In A Net EP' with its lead track 'Palindromes', a manic-minded white coat tale of reversible
words delivered in a tri-vocal barrage. 'One of the brilliant indie guitar-pop bands emerging from the Norfolk scene. They rocked up to the Introducing stage with the best hair of the weekend, and just the tightest, most frantic melodies. Loved them.' - The Guardian
