Fast-paced military drummer boy style beats are the order of the day on Pavilion's 'Spoils of War' 7". It's totally epic and over the top, sort of like a much better indie version of that My Chemical Romance 'Black Parade' abomination. Chris reckons this has a touch of Icicle Works and Pete Wiley's Wah! about it, it's definitely got a rawer version of The Big Sound going on. Edwyn Collins had some sort of a hand in it so that gives you some sort of idea too. Fantastic single! Saw them playing in Leeds earlier this month and they are even better live! Definitely a song to have in your collection. I am sure there will plenty more hits from this band....according to Verny.
Top band....great songs.....they've got what it takes to be big i reckon. First heard them on Mark Radcliffes show and then went to see them play in York......they were the best band on the night by a mile....according to leigh.
