Speaking of unsettling sounds the disc from Canyons! has a bit of an eerie quality to it. Sounds built from guitars and broken laptops are the order of the day here and I reckon this will appeal to folks that dig Fennesz's stuff. Trapdoor/ Diamonds is more good stuff on Hellosquare.first release from itinerant member of Matt Nicholson's Function Ensemble (Locust Music, Room40) and Tweezer alumni. with pieces already heard on compilations released by hellosQuare and 267 Lattajjaa, this 3" collects pools of sound and drifting movement, rich with texture and ambience.
