The Tamborines - 31st Floor/ Come Together

31st Floor/ Come Together by The Tamborines

7" clear vinyl time is upon us with this Tamborines '31st Floor' / 'Come Together' double A-side on Beat Mo. These guys had their debut out on Sonic Cathedral. Apparently based in London but from Brasil they produce an accomplished fuzzy spaced rock sound somewhere between Spacemen 3 and The Jesus and Mary Chain. A big bold production sound and quality pressing with great sound for clear vinyl. I can see this being quite popular.

The Tamborines return with their brand new double A-side single on August 11,which will be released
on strictly limited edition clear vinyl seven-inch on the band’s own Beat-MoRecords imprint.

It’s nearly 18 months since the west London-based drone-pop trio released theircritically acclaimed
debut - the now rare as hens’ teeth pairing of ‘Sally O’Gannon’ and ‘Be Around’- on the revered
Sonic Cathedral label. In the time since, they have released an EP in America and played numerous
gigs and festival dates, both in Europe and their native Brazil, wherethey received a heroes’ welcome.

Now, they’re back with two new songs. The A-side, ‘31st Floor’, welds theirinherent pop sensibilities
and Korg keyboards to a dark drone that prompted the NME to accurately describeit as sounding
“like The Byrds on some very bad acid”. Over on the AA-side is the positivelyanthemic live favourite
‘Come Together’, which sounds like The Jesus And Mary Chain if they’d everlearned how to lighten up.

The Tamborines are Henrique Laurindo (vocals/guitar), Lulu Grave(organ/percussion) and
Renato Tezolin (drums).
