Eyeballs - Sea Of William Henry Smyth

Sea Of William Henry Smyth by Eyeballs

4...according to our on Thu 07 Aug, 2008.

Typically the first release this week I get is by someone called Eyeballs on the Blackest Rainbow label. This is Richard Dawson under a new name... well that is his name but he's now going under the catchy name of Eyeballs. Something we can all relate to as we've got 'em I'm sure you will all agree. The previous Richard Dawson thing I heard was singer songwriter stuff and here he's adopted a completely different approach as he's gone all drone. Minimal drones and tones building up over a 28 minute track to create an atmospheric warm piece of music. Fans of Gareth Hardwick and Monostation will dig this warm droney ambience I'm sure. The Sea of William Henry Smyth is limited to 70 copies only

Another release from our Newcastle brothers, Eyeballs is Richard Dawson, and 'The Sea of William Henry Smyth' is a real nice minimal ambient-ish drone piece, multi-layered, and multi-textural, if you're into Gareth Hardwick, and Kranky Records you'll be into this for sure! Limited to 70 copies in lilac parchment paper.
