Attar Cups - Untitled

Untitled by Attar Cups

4...according to our on Thu 07 Aug, 2008.

More weird and wonderful vinyl from Blackest Rainbow with an almighty Attar Cups Ltd numbered 'Untitled' LP which is a collaboration of Nemo of Drona Parva and man behind Time-Lag Records, Sparrow Wildchild of The Bummer Road, and the guys from Visitations. This is a jam based record (jam based products rule, just think of the Jammy Dodger) but is actually coherent and kind of song based rather than a bunch of avant garde twiddling. The players seem to follow each other intuitively with the acoustic guitars never becoming too cluttered and the occasional other worldly vocals adding a almost ghostly atmosphere to proceedings. This is most certainly on the more accessible side of what the label puts out and I'd say if you dig either of the players work then this is well worth your attention.

We hit up our fourth vinyl release with this beauty which was originally intended to be a cassette only release (it still will be available on cassette, but only in a tiny run). This Maine based crew features a host of psychedelic jam talent... Nemo of Drona Parva and head honcho of Time-Lag Records, Sparrow Wildchild of The Bummer Road, and the three members of Visitations, whose record on Time-Lag last year was one of 2007's best! So this is the second recording from this crew, the first being last years Sloow Tape. This beast is different to the Sloow vibe, still with a super nice jam band sound, but projecting to a maybe more 'song' (in the loosest possible way) based plane, a little like Visitations. Edition of 299 hand numbered copies with zero info and 11" x 11" stickers on the front and back of black sleeves.
