Sister - Lovers Of Today

Lovers Of Today by Sister

Sister have a 10" out on Flower Shop recordings called 'Lovers of Today', a 1 sided etched job. It's a really good tune, a little like one of Long Blondes more gothic moments, a swirling organ, skeletal guitars, drums that flit around the bones of the song and a darkly intoned female lyric. The chorus is quite a gently rousing surge that compliments this strange, ghostly displaced tune beautifully. Especially like the organ, like tendrils of mist curling round your feet. Wonderful! We've still a couple of the debut  7" "Satellite" on Regal!

10” Vinyl (500 Ltd. Edition with etching on B-side). Lovers of Today produced by rock veteran Paul Stacey (Black Crowes, Oasis, U.N.K.L.E, The Kooks) Great team behind this band including Charm Factory (Online Promotion), Clare Woodcock (Press/Radio) and Normal Management (Loose Salute/Magic Numbers). Sister’s first 7” (vinyl only) single ‘Satellite’ (Regal/Parlophone) got a great response in both the press and radio which we’re hoping this new single will continue to build upon. Tie-ins with Fred Perry Sportswear and the Big Issue are kicking off 4 weeks before release as well as sessions on Radio London with Sean Rowley, BBC6 and some great broadsheet leads. Fingers crossed…
