The Week That Was involves Peter Brewis from Field Music and the apple hasn't fallen too far from the tree, if you like his main band's stuff or his other side projects you'll most likely be into this too. It's avant-pop with smatterings of XTC, Roxy Music, ABC and even a bit of Heaven 17. Enjoyable stuff! The self-titled album is out on CD and vinyl from the blokes and birds at Memphis Industries.

Brilliant new album from Field Music’s Peter Brewis.       Album of the Month in Mojo.
An epic 32 minutes, sonically inspired by the Linn Drum and Fairlight experiments of Kate Bush, Japan and Peter Gabriel. A loosely conceptual album based around a dreamt up murder mystery and the strain between the public’s reliance and distrust of mass media.
Features include “Album Of The Month” in Mojo, Uncut “Welcome To Uncut”, Guardian Film and Music, Sunday Times.
