This record left our Phil feeling happy.

The other CD on Thomason Sounds is a CD by Miaou. Looking at the sleeve I was convinced this was gonna be twee indie pop. What with all those stuffed toys, smarties and brightly cut out letters. I was well wrong though as it's post rock gear. Actually these had a split tour CD with Below The Sea on another Japanese label called Preco. It's all coming back to me! Well what can you say about instrumental post rock bands that hasn't been said before? Well, this definitely sits on the more electronic end with some subtle crunchy electronics over some post rock guitars. There's certainly some elements of bands like Mogwai, The Workhouse, The Retail Sectors etc and all of that. You know what I mean like. It's quite epic sounding at time when it builds into masive crescendos with those feedback style melodies that curse post rock records. I reckon it's good though and if you want a stand out track then it's got to be 'Always Dreaming of Things To Come' with does the Explosions In the Sky thing pretty well. 'All Around Us' is CD only!
