The Real Tuesday Weld - The London Book of The Dead

Already ripping it up with rave reviews and radio on the the other side of the Atlantic (New York Public Radio's JOHN SCHAFFER's ALBUM OF THE YEAR), The Real Tuesday Weld's first conventional album in the UK since their critical hit 'I Lucifer' (an Independent, Times and Telegraph album of the week) is an extraordinary sonic collage of electronic rythmns, spoken word, bluegrass, violins, woodwind, and harmonised crooner vocals. A further flowering of the band's trademark 'Antique Beat' sound - the album's unique combination of old shellac sounds vintage radio transmissions and glitchy electronics provide a setting for lyrical concerns of life, love, dreams and death.  Future single "Last Words' is the signature song in the upcoming indie classic: 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist' starring 'Juno's' Michael Serra' and three of the videos made to accompany the album have already been given special features on Youtube. The limited special edition version of the album will contain a hard-bound 40 page colour book of extraordinary commissioned collages by the artist Catherine Anyango. These are for Cargo Collective stores only and are limited to 500 copies.  Look out for reviews in, among others, Flux, Notion, Mojo, Word and national press in Sept/Oct. The band previously featured in a studio session for Rob Da Bank's Radio 1 Blue Room show and accordingly the new album has already had good feedback from Mr Da Bank and is sure to feature on your wirelesses again this autumn. Never ones to play standard rock venues, the band will be playing London and European dates this autumn, notably, 3rd October at The Brady Arts Centre (East London), 5th December at Victoria & Albert Museum. The band are currently on tour in the US.
