OVERVIEW: Sneaky Sound System will release their debut UK single 'Pictures' on 21st July 2008 through 14th Floor Records. Released on 7", 12" and CD, the track has been mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, New Order) and will feature remixes from Tonite Only, South Central. Sneaky Sound System are the biggest band to come out of the dance music scene that's conquering Australia, boasting a self-released debut album which has gone double Platinum, a single ('I Love It') with the longest chart run in Australian history, and sold-out stadium tours of the country. The band was born out of a club night, 'Sneaky Sundays', hosted in Sydney by DJ Black Angus (Angus McDonald) and MC Double D (Daimon Downey). With its strict "no shoe-gazing, no wallflowers" policy it quickly attracted high-profile guests including Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem and Tiga, and still packs in up to 1000 people every week. After releasing a highly successful house mix CD, Angus and Daimon began working on their own tracks and recruited singer Miss Connie (Connie Mitchell) to record vocals for the irresistibly danceable electro-pop tunes that would form their debut album. Connie quickly became a full member of Sneaky Sound System, and has also recently worked with both Snoop Dogg and Kanye West (contributing vocals to the track 'Stronger').
