Kingsize's
debut album 'Love, Lust and Other Disasters' is released on Weekender
Records on 08/09/08, following hot on the heels of lead single ‘The
Daze out on 01/09/07.
For the uninitiated, Kingsize’s honest,
no-nonsense sounds have won them plaudits from Virgin Radio, BBC 6
Music and XFM, from whom they’ve received airplay.
The debut
album ‘Love, Lust & Other Disasters’ was recorded in both Berlin
and London by Ed East (Chikinki) and Brian O’Shaughnessy (Primal Scream
/ Broken Family Band) respectively. Recorded in March 2008 it captures
the bands virtuosity and variety.
The album shows the many
dimensions to the band and is an excellent introduction to them. Lead
single The Daze itself is a frenetic live favourite and this particular
version is entirely new and eminates from the Berlin sessions.
